New York, November 9, 2009—Laura Catena, President of Bodega Catena Zapata, is this week’s wine guest on Mark Squires’ Wine Bulletin Board, available at eRobertParker.com. Consumers can participate in the discussion and ask Laura questions throughout the week. To join the discussion, visit http://dat.erobertparker.com/bboard/forumdisplay.php?f=29.
When it comes to her passion for the Catena family wines, Laura is involved with all aspects of the winery—from winemaking to supervising extensive research in the vineyards and the export program. As a graduate of Stanford Medical School, Laura is not only the President of Bodega Catena Zapata, but also works a few days a week as an emergency room doctor at The University of California, San Francisco Medical Center.
Under the direction of Laura and her father, winery owner Nicolas Catena, Bodega Catena Zapata has garnered accolades from wine experts across the globe and proven that Argentina is capable of producing wines that stand with the best in the world. Earlier this year, Nicolas was recognized as Decanter Magazine’s 2009 Man of the Year, and in May Winebow was named the sole importer of this pioneering winery’s portfolio.
