Winebow is pleased to represent properties from California, Oregon, Washington State, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New Mexico. Wines had been made in these regions for centuries before Prohibition interrupted the development of this industry. From 1920 to 1933, sale and consumption of alcohol was banned (outside of what was used for Christian church services).

Following Prohibition, wine production resumed but most people had lost connection to the culture and lifestyle of the beverage.  Fortunately, after a new chapter in winemaking was written in the mid-seventies (beginning in Napa and Sonoma Valleys), we are extremely reconnected with our roots today.

Winebow’s goal has always been to painstakingly search out small to medium size, category or appellation leaders. Our core distribution concept is vineyard-based, family-owned properties - and our U.S. portfolio is no exception.  In many cases, we have been working with these passionate families for decades, maintaining our partnerships with the second and even third generations of these families.

Although not every property owns all (or even any) of their vineyards, we believe the terroir of their vineyard sites drives the quality and differentiation of these wines. Our broad selection includes exceptional values, ranging from the everyday to the ultra-luxurious and iconic.
