La Toledana
Brand Description
La Toledana is a castle that was built in the first half of the 16th century as a fortress, and now serves as a winery owned by the Martini family. The winery is located in Gavi, the magic land for the production of Gavi, the most renowned white wine from Piedmont. Cortese grapes have been grown on the La Tolenda estate for over 180 years. La Toledana is composed of 26 hectars of single vineyards that exclusively produce cortese grapes for Gavi DOCG wine.

La Tolenda is located in the Gavi municipality near Alessandria. The microclimate of the production area, hot and dry summers,tempered by the influx of sea winds contributing significantly to the sensory features of "Gavi DOCG" wine.
Winemaking and Viticulture Philosophy
Dedicated to achieving the Cortese grapes highest possible quality level in every vintage, great efforts are made to limit vine vigor and to work with only the highest quality fruit with minimal intervention in the cellar.
