Monte Oton

Monte Oton bottle image

Wine Description

The vineyards for Monte Oton are situated high on the windswept slopes of the Moncayo. The sun drench, arid location is ideal for harvesting, perfectly matured, fully ripened  Garnacha grapes. The resulting wine is full bodied, elegantly textured and exhibits a long complex finish.

Acclaim
"The 2016 Monte Oton (100% Garnacha) comes from a mix of flat and hillside parcels and was brought up all in stainless steel. This soft, consumer-friendly beauty offers lots of peppery herbs and blueberry fruits, medium to full body, a soft, fruity style, and a good finish. It’s a smoking value at 8 bucks."
— Jeb Dunnuck, Mar 2018
"A bit jammy on the nose, but on the palate there are some nice tannins that would do so much more for the wine if the grapes hadn't been picked overripe. Drink now."
— James Suckling, Jul 2017
