The 2012 Corbaia, the estate’s Sangiovese/Cabernet Sauvignon blend, is deep, ferrous and massively constituted. As such, it will need a few years in the cellar to be at its best. Ripe red cherry, chalk, smoke, iron and sage add further nuance as the wine continues to open up in the glass. Readers should expect a tannic, savory wine built on power.
