Michel Magnien Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Bourgogne Pinot Noir bottle image

Wine Description

In 1395 Philippe le Hardi forbade the cultivation of the Gamay and favoured that of the Pinot Noir to improve the quality of the wines. Red, white and rosé wines are produced as AOC Bourgogne. The regional appellation extends over more than 2,500 hectares from the department of the Yonne to the Rhône region and running through the Côte d’Or. Dom. Michel Magnien's plot is “1 hectare 07 ares 13 ca” and faces east. The vines are planted on marl soils.
