Librandi Megonio
Wine Description
Magno Megonio is the name of a Roman centurion who is believed to be the first to leave traces about viticulture in the Val di Neto area. He once owned part of the estate Librandi owns today. Magno Megonio is made from 100% Magliocco, one of the key varieties in the region of Calabria and it is believed to have ancient origins dating back to Roman and Greek times. In recent years, most vineyards of this grape have been pulled out in favor of better-known international varieties. The Librandis, who have been experimenting with Magliocco for years, are firm believers in its potential.
