“The 2020 Assyrtiko is unoaked and comes in at 13.2% alcohol. This is sourced from 30+-year-old vines. A little spicy and more than a little tense, this seems bigger in mouthfeel than it seems on paper. That said, as impressive as this is for its structure, it doesn't show much in terms of character or expressiveness of the grape. It's a little monolithic, even with the extra year in bottle compared to its sibling, the 2021 in this report. Can it develop to some extent with a little more time in bottle? Maybe, although I have some doubts, but most won't be holding this. At the moment, it's a nice food wine that is unlikely to get to the next level. At its price point, to be fair, it is still a good wine to try."
