Acclaim
Notes of black currant, mint, and coffee-washed oak are immediately pleasurable in this big-boned, luxurious red. A chalky foundation of graphite supports supple tannins. Mediterranean scrub seasons earth before the finish of dried violets leaves a trace of sweetness on the palate. — The Tasting Panel, Apr 2025
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Elizabeth Spencer, now part of the Boisset Collection owned by Jean-Charles Boisset, is from Atlas Peak. Just 7 barrels were produced. A robust Cabernet with gobs of mountain tannins that arrest the palate, then resolve through layers of blackberry, black cherry, and forest floor notes with accompanied by crushed red-stone minerality. If offers plenty of intrigue in its fragrant, spicy wild herb aromatics and balanced tension on the palate. — Decanter, May 2024
