Jaine Thunderstone Rosé
Wine Description
A reference to the shape of this vineyard site, thunderstones are ancient artifacts, often arrowheads, turned up in the soil from farmers' plows & regarded in folklore as having been cast to the earth from thunderbolts.
The Grenache grapes are pressed with minimal skin contact, and the juice is cold-tank settled and fermented at a low temperature in a stainless tank to preserve the varietal characteristics of the fruit and the production of esters. Once fermentation is complete, the tank is racked, and the lees are stirred for one week. The wine is aged on the fine lees for ten weeks prior to bottling.
