Boroli Barolo Cerequio

Boroli Barolo Cerequio

Wine Description

Only a few producers have the honor of bottling the Cerequio Cru. The vineyard stretches across two opposing slopes, which together create an easily recognizable basin. The area is characterized by an extraordinary microclimate: called “Riviera delle Langhe” by the veterans.

The area is magnificently exposed, with a constant ventilation that keeps the grapes healthy. The soil is sandy with abundant moisture content and clay. The quality of wine is incredibly unvaried: each year, the vineyard gives us a great Barolo wine for ageing, thanks to its acidity and vibrant structure. Boroli’s Barolo Cerequio stands for elegance and refinement.

Acclaim
“Notes of dried flowers, red cherries, licorice and moist earth. Medium-bodied with tight but finely polished tannins and a fresh red-fruited mid-palate with citrus and mineral undertones. Crunchy finish.” — James Suckling, Jul 2023
“The Cerequio cru’s pedigree is brilliantly showcased in this Barolo, as deep and fragrant aromas of black cherry, rose, baking spices and freshly turned earth captivate the senses. The polished palate offers supple textures, mouthfilling fruits, savory herbs and black tea notes. Fine yet firm tannins and vibrant acidity provide structure.” – (Cellar Selection) — Wine Enthusiast, Dec 2023
