Acclaim
Editor's Choice - Ramitello is a beautiful wine (85% Prugnolo and 15% Aglianico for power and structure) with soft, lush aromas of chocolate, espresso, leather, clove and dense blackberry fruit. The wine is yielding and generous and has absolutely no sharp edges.
— Wine Enthusiast, Mar 2009
Discovering Italy's Finest Wine Values - The 2005 Ramitello Rosso is 80% Prugnolo and 20% Aglianco aged in large neutral casks and steel. This pure, engaging red opens with sweet, perfumed aromatics that lead to layers of dark cherries, smoke, earthiness and tar. Clean, mineral notes help give the wine its notable persistence and length. All in all, this is an incredibly delicious wine for the money.
