Acclaim
“Crunchy, minerally and taut, a briney seam of acidity and phenolics strike through the heart of this wine and pull it through the finish. This 2021 Filius Chardonnay is the crunchy, vibrant end of the Chardonnay spectrum, not just within the Vasse Felix house style but within the regional context as well. This is a cleverly made, uncomplicated Chardonnay. I love the salted nuts through the finish."
— Wine Advocate, Jul 2023
“A white of solid fruit with white peaches, apple and hints of vanilla and oak. Medium to full body, creamy texture and a flavorful finish. Lots going on here.”
— James Suckling, Oct 2022

Wine Production

All parcels were treated in respect of the unique qualities coming from each of our vineyard sites; natural fermentation with varying solids levels, fine French Oak and battonage programs were tailored to each individual batch. Following 8 months of maturation in oak the parcels were combined to create a unique varietal Chardonnay from Margaret River. For the third year in a row, we underwent malolactic fermentation due to high acidity at harvest.
