Argiolas Korem

Korem Isola dei Nuraghi IGT bottle image

Wine Description

Located amid Sardinia’s natural beauty, just north of Cagliari, is the Argiolas estate, widely known not only for its crisp and refreshing white wines, but also for its unforgettably complex reds. Argiolas Korem is a voluptuous, exotic red wine made with indigenous Bovale Sardo, Carignano and Cannonau grapes from the Sa Tanca vineyard. The wine is aged in barriques and cement tanks for one year with further development in the bottle for about six months.

Acclaim
The 2007 Isola dei Nuraghi Korem is an exceptionally beautiful Sardinian red made principally from Bovale Sardo with 20% Carignano and 20% Cannonau. Sweet candied cherries, flowers and spices emerge from this rich, textured wine. With time in the glass the inner perfume emerges, adding further layers of complexity. Scents of chocolate, mocha and spices linger on the inviting finish. This is another beautiful, impeccable wine from Argiolas.
— Wine Advocate, Jun 2010
“The 2007 Isola dei Nuraghi Angialis flows from the glass with tangerine, mint and white flowers, all of which are woven into a fabric of inimitable class. A plush, inviting finish rounds things out in style.”
