Poggio Scalette Capogatto
Wine Description
Capogatto is the Tuscan name for the old method used to train and propogate the vines in the vineyards, a process technically known as "layering." Made from equal parts Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot harvested at the end of September, the wine is fermented concrete tanks and then aged in barriques for 18 months.
