Gran Enemigo Gualtallary

Gran Enemigo Gualtallary

Wine Description

Winemaking is spread between the Catena family winery in the Uco Valley and Alejandro's own barrel room in his garden of Chachingo - The Republic - where his young son rides a horse among olive trees and where dogs and chickens share the grounds with the Vigil family and the winery.

Acclaim
Fresh rosemary, graphite and tobacco accents meld with an elegant, orange peel-accented raspberry and plum core that reveals cocoa nib details while unfurling around a nice lift of fresh acidity, driving the flavors onto the finish around structured tannins. — Wine Spectator, Feb 2025
“Ink and licorice with blackberry and black olive aromas. Medium-to full-bodied with round, fine tannins that are crunchy and refined. It has a juicy undertone and a savory finish. Just a hint of cedar and caramel at the end.” — James Suckling, Feb 2024
