Portia Triennia

Portia Triennia

Wine Description

Bodegas Portia is Grupo Faustino’s most recent winery project and is the 7th winery in the group. Located in the heart of Ribera del Duero, the Portia winery is a display of modern design, winemaking function and artistic detail. The brand offers very small production wines - intense, energetic & balanced. Triennia is part of Portia's "Vino de autor" category, with a strong emphasis on the winemaker's individual style and idea of reflection of terroir characteristics. The name "Triennia" refers to the latin number "three", referencing the three parts of the Portia winery.

About the Vineyard

From the Pago Carronda vineyard in la Aguilera. Vines with an age of 80 years are grown at an elevation of 900m. Sandy calcareous soil with a high pH and poor in nutrients. Maturation is slower, as this type of soil reflects sunlight and cannot retain heat. The result is an aromatic, round and elegant wine with a well balanced acidity.
