Acclaim
Multidimensional on the nose, with berries, leather and flowers, but soon turns to grilled meat and very ripe fruit. Full-bodied, with a firm, yet balanced palate, lots of ripe, almost raisin character and chewy tannins...
— Wine Spectator, May 2003
Deeply colored. Compelling, expansive nose offers complexity plus wonderful scents of spice, leather, and enough tar to pave an Interstate highway. Follows through beautifully on entry; an opulent wine with dancing acidity to go along with smoky, licorice flavors. The fruit is well extracted, perfectly ripe, and thoroughly delicious. This Brunello also gets high marks for terrific cut, and sinewy texture. [...] Very long, consistent finish. Just about everyone loved this wine.
— Wine Advocate, Oct 2007
