Wine Production

Blackboard Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from a single vineyard in Washington State. The vines are farmed using sustainable practices and hand-harvested in the early fall mornings. Upon arrival at the winery, each cluster is hand-sorted and destemmed. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in French oak. Before each wine is released, it is extensively evaluated and carefully blended by Matthews’ dedicated winemaking team.
