Enrique Mendoza La Tremenda

La Tremenda bottle image

Wine Description

The name "La Tremenda" references the name of the vineyard from which the grapes are grown and hand-harvested. Made entirely from mature vines of Monastrell, the grapes undergo cold maceration before being fermented in stainless steel to extract flavor while preserving freshness, followed by six months aging in American oak.

Acclaim
“Enrique-Mendoza’s 2008 La Tremenda is 100% Monastrell aged for 6 months in American oak. Made in a racy style with lively acidity, it displays Asian spices, underbrush, blackberry, and blueberry in its inviting bouquet. Sweetly fruited, nicely proportioned, and medium-long, it will provide enjoyment over the next 5 years.”
