Acclaim
“Merlot makes up 80% of this wine, with the rest Cabernet Franc (10%) and equal parts Malbec and Petit Verdot. The aromas pop, with notes of dark raspberry, green pepper and herb, leaning into the savory. A full-feeling, red and black-fruited palate follows. There’s a lot of textural enjoyment.”– (Editors’ Choice)

Wine Production

Matthews Cuvée is crafted from several vineyards across the Columbia Valley, Royal Slope, and Red Mountain AVAs. The grapes are farmed using sustainable practices and hand-harvested in the early mornings. Upon arriving at the winery, each cluster is hand-sorted, berry-sorted, and then fermented in either concrete or stainless-steel tanks. The free-run wine is then moved to French oak barrels for cellaring. The resulting barrels are bottled without fining or filtration.
