Tua Rita Syrah Per Sempre

Tua Rita Syrah Per Sempre

Wine Description

Hand-crafted by the esteemed winemaker Luca d'Attoma, Tua Rita Syrah is a beautiful expression of this noble variety. Yields are kept to a minimum to ensure flavor concentration. Remarkably layered and complex, this Syrah is pure harmony in the glass and a must-have for every collector of fine Tuscan wines.

Acclaim
The Tua Rita 2022 Syrah Per Sempre draws its precious fruit from a half-hectare parcel planted in 1998 and another parcel planted in 2004. The advanced age of the vines adds to the complexity and depth of the wine with dark plum, sweet spice, toast and campfire ash. Per Sempre ages in oak for 18 months with 80% new woof and 20% second-use barrique. Syrah does a great job of balancing its fruit against the integrated oak. The wine makes a big impact on the senses thanks to its open-knit texture and generous concentration. On the palate, it is firm but also fresh, and both these qualities bode well for its aging potential. — Wine Advocate, Feb 2025
The purity of the fruit on the nose is really something, with violets, lavender, sandalwood, light white pepper and white roses. Medium-bodied with totally integrated tannins that give a silky texture and a long finish. A pure syrah with lots of class for the vintage. — James Suckling, Nov 2024
