Librandi Efeso

Efeso Mantonico Val di Neto IGT bottle image

Wine Description

Librandi is committed to reviving ancient varieties indigenous to Calabria. Efeso is made from 100% Mantonico, one of the many indigenous grape varieties of Calabria that was cultivated for centuries before almost disappearing completely. Efeso (Ephesus), is the name of the Greek colony located in Turkey, from where the Librandi family believes the Mantonico grape originated.

Acclaim
Librandi's 2008 Efeso Mantonico is a very pretty, textured white graced with melon, peaches, nuts and spices. The Efeso is aged in French oak, which gives the wine much of its spiciness and volume.
