Wine Description

Librandi is committed to reviving ancient varieties indigenous to Calabria. Efeso is made from 100% Mantonico, one of the many indigenous grape varieties of Calabria that was cultivated for centuries before almost disappearing completely. Efeso (Ephesus), is the name of the Greek colony located in Turkey, from where the Librandi family believes the Mantonico grape originated.

“Bright gold-tinged straw-yellow. Aromatic nose combines yellow apple, pear, nut oil, peach and dry spices. Peach and ripe citrus in the mouth, with complicating elements of exotic dried herbs and ripe pear adding sweetness.
