Di Majo Norante Don Luigi Riserva

Don Luigi Montepulciano del Molise Riserva DOC bottle image

Wine Description

Don Luigi was made in tribute to Don Luigi Di Majo Norante, the patriarch of this estate. The wine undergoes a period of extended maceration to achieve incredible color and concentration and is further refined in Allier and Tronçais barriques for 12-18 months. The resulting wine is a benchmark expression of Montepulciano from the Molise region.

Acclaim
“The 2008 Montepulciano Riserva Don Luigi presents a cool, inward expression of this native grape. A vein of lively minerality frames black fruits, herbs and smoke. The wine softens with air, turning seamless and impeccably elegant on the finish.”
