Wine Description

In both La Savante and Histoire d'A we use whole clusters during fermentation to highlight the texture and graininess of the wines.  Histoire d'A is a generous due to great sun exposure, with cinnamon, cloves, and perceived sweetness to the tannins.

“The 2022 Pinot Noir Histoire d'A comes from a vineyard situated 4,430 feet above sea level in Gualtallary, Uco Valley and was aged for 12 months in 10% first-use French oak barrels. Ruby red in hue. The nose delivers delicate notes of elderberry and cherry accompanied by mountain herbs and watermelon. It's lean and dry on the palate, with vibrant acidity and fine, chalky tannins that lead to a taut, enduring finish. This Pinot Noir embodies its mountain terroir.”
