Domaine Nico Histoire D'A

Histoire D'A bottle image

Wine Description

In both La Savante and Histoire d'A we use whole clusters during fermentation to highlight the texture and graininess of the wines.  Histoire d'A is a generous due to great sun exposure, with cinnamon, cloves, and perceived sweetness to the tannins.

Acclaim
This tightly wound and angular red’s driving force is its nervy acidity, with a minerally base to the tart cherry and cranberry core. Hints of cinnamon bark and fresh herbs arrive on the finish around firming tannins. Offers the structure to lay down, but whether this will open up is hard to determine at this stage. — Wine Spectator, Feb 2025
“Histoire d’A showcases the quality of the Adrianna Vineyard, using grapes planted at 1,350 metres, next to the Huentela River. Fermented with 40% whole bunches, it’s a bright, detailed, limestone-influenced style with flavours of redcurrant, pomegranate and goji berry, and savoury, fine-grained tannins.” — Tim Atkin, MW, Jun 2024
